Justinian called for the great feast, it was late evening, the sky was dark and the wind was calm. The lighting in the room was bright showing off the golden ornaments. Justinian sat in his ceremonial robes, he had the old imperial robes of Rome on display above a great fire. He sat at the centre of his table, to his left and right in places of honour sat Anthanius on the left and Florian Iberianus. Justinian stood to make a speech...
"Great nobles...and Generals of Constantinople, I stand before you humbled by our recent military successes, the great Generals Iberianus and Tribunus Anthanius "Lion of Africa!"... The battles for Carthage and Mons Serrorum are examples of why we rule our world. Join with me in a toast to all our commanders Solomanos, Iberianus, Patricius, Liberius and Anthanius. To VICTORY!!!"
Players are now able to partake in the feast, if you wish to talk to other players then start up a new thread and carry on from there stating who it is with putting in brackets "Great Feast" private conversations will be deemed private and will not be able to be used as evidence and such against characters.

Shortly after Gaius Porcius entered the chamber of the Great Feast, he was met by a servant of the Liberius family and found himself soon standing near them. As P. Marcellinus Liberius rose and toasted the Emperor, Gaius likewise saluted from his lesser station. The intentions of this evening's invitation from the powerful leader remained a mystery to him. For now, he could not approach nearer until called to do so.

Bacchus Solomanos entered the chamber with his wife in a simple white tunic. They were escorted to their assigned position and raised their goblet to join the toast. With the Emperor's speech over, they began to partake in the repast and make polite conversation.

Petrus Patricius sat down after the toast, flanked by his wife, Antonia, and his now-veteran son Tiberius. Already deep into a cup of wine, Petrus glanced around the table before quietly engaging his wife in conversation.

After the toast had been made a meal was brought through as everyone was eating their fill Justinian called out across the table to Florian Iberianus and said...
"I say, I say, Iberianus!" Justinian exclaimed...
"Tell us of your latest adventure what was it like to face those ugly barbarians?"

When Gaius noted that Darius simply assumed a place near P. Marcellinus Liberius, he himself arranged to have a seat nearby as well. Damned if he'd miss a meal here! It was best that he take care of himself first and wait for conversations to come his way. At the call for stories, he changed his position to face to expected speaker.

After finishing his meal, Petrus presented himself before the Emperor. "Justinian, Emperor. My wife grows weary and I have not felt her warm embrace in my bed for many months. I respectfully ask your leave from this great ceremony, for I have a long voyage ahead of me in the morning, and only fleeting time to spend with my beloved Antonia."
